About Me

A little bit about me and why I started this and believe in this:

I am 30 years old, but I can imagine a lot of you that find this page can say they have a similar story. I was raised in the church went every Sunday with my parents even though most mornings they had to pull me out of bed to go. I was raised Lutheran, did catechism in my teen years. Then I accepted God into my heart through catechism. However, if you are like me the story only seemed to get harder from there. I tell people all the time I struggle with catechism, is it a good thing yes, but does everyone know what they are accepting at that age? No. That was my story I didn’t know what I was accepting into my heart at the time. I just knew I was supposed to do it to make my mom and dad and my family proud. Long story short this has been my road of faith up until a couple a years ago where I really started diving into it. My road map to God looks a lot more like one of those crazy pirate treasure maps and I can safely say I have been the Prodigal son on multiple occasions. Through all this though I have found a deep loving connection with God, am I perfect? No. I still have a lot of struggles and tend to stray, but thats what this group is for, to create intentionality and to show we aren’t all these perfect put together Christians social media would lead us to believe.
